5 Reasons Why Moms Should Start Mystery Shopping NOW

Hey, everyone! My name is Akeisha and I’ve been mystery shopping for over three years and I love it! I am a stay-at-home mom due to health reasons, but I use mystery shopping to help make up some of that lost income. I thought I would take a break from being a mom and mystery shopper and let you know my top 5 reasons (although there are plenty more!) that I think moms (SAHM or working) should start mystery shopping today!

• I don’t know about you, and maybe this makes me a “bad mom”, but every now and then, I need a break! I love that I can escape from my house and take a break from my kiddos and use mystery shopping as an excuse. It makes me feel good knowing that I can take a break and make some money at the same time.
• I know this may sound like it counteracts that first one, but you are allowed to take your kiddos with you to most of the shops that you do! My kids are older now, but even when they were a little younger, they loved helping me on my secret missions and always tried pointing out things that I may not have noticed myself during a shop. Now that they are older, my 12-year-old is planning on being a mystery shopper himself when he turns 18 because he can already see how lucrative.
• One of my absolute favorite parts of mystery shopping is that I get to set my own schedule! So, if my kids have practice or games or concerts or any other number of things that I have to make sure I schedule, I can always make sure to plan my shops around them.
• One word: FREE!!! You can get reimbursed to buy things when you mystery shop, which makes them FREE! I don’t know about your role as the mother of the house, but I am the one in charge of buying all the gifts for our family members. So, getting items for free makes my gift buying that much more fun and that much less expensive!
• MONEY!! Who couldn’t use a little bit more money on a monthly basis? You could easily make $300 more in extra income every month and with a bit more work, you could do way more than that on a regular basis.
